Marine Kong, the monster made by Shikarna Kobo, has been a special monster to me ever since it first appeared on the soft vinyl scene, I fell in love with its silhouette.
I still vividly remember greeting Shikarna Kobo when Seventies was first founded in the 70s.
We have been approved by Shikarna Atelier as an authorized dealer and will be releasing the long-awaited limited edition 70's model from June 2024.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Shikarna Kobo for their efforts in creating this custom-made product.
This time, we are planning to release two types of products in September and October. Why?
There is no reason for it...it's just because I love it.
With the understanding of Shikarna Kobo, this time only
It's a 70's model,
We will name the open-mouth version as Type A and the closed-mouth version as Type B, so please bear with us.

I think it's the most elegant finish. (From a 70's point of view)

The A-type, to be released in September, has a classic light paint job reminiscent of the early days of Showa era soft vinyl monsters, and the way it opens its mouth to show off its cuteness is just irresistible.
When the first sample arrived, time stood still as we made eye contact for a moment.
We have samples on display in our store's showcase, and we see many visitors have the same reaction.
*Every time this happens, I look at them from the sidelines without being noticed.

Type B, which will be released in October, has sharp facial lines that give it a very stylish and cool impression.
This one is heavily painted, making it a truly Reiwa-style Umizaru.
It has such a heavy feel that you can sense the monster's hidden ferocity.

I believe that the Marine Kong monster made by Shikarna Kobo is the king of soft vinyl monster toys that have been passed down through the years as we move from the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras.
I would like to introduce 70's Seventies in two types: Type A and Type B.

For those who love monster soft vinyl figures, those who are seeing them for the first time, and those who are encountering them for the first time in a long time, don't miss this opportunity.
