Marine Kong, the monster made by Shikarna Kobo, has been a special monster to me ever since it first appeared on the soft vinyl scene, I fell in love with its silhouette.
I still vividly remember greeting Shikarna Kobo when Seventies was first founded in the 70s.
In 2024, we have been approved as an authorized dealer by Shikarna Atelier and will be releasing the long-awaited limited edition 70's model.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Shikarna Kobo for their efforts in creating this custom-made product.
As a special limited edition model for the 70's Seventies
This is a luxurious project with two types of release. Why?
...It's simply because I love it.

With the approval of Shikarna Kobo, it is a 70's specification.
We will name the open-mouth version as Type A and the closed-mouth version as Type B, so please bear with us.

I think it's the most elegant finish. (From a 70's point of view)

Type A has a classic light paint job reminiscent of the early days of Showa era soft vinyl monster figures, and the way it opens its mouth to show off its cuteness is just irresistible.
When the first sample arrived, time stood still as we made eye contact for a moment.
We have samples on display in our store's showcase, and we see many visitors have the same reaction.
*Every time this happens, I look at them from the side so that no one notices.

Type B has sharp facial lines that give a very stylish and cool impression.
This one is heavily painted, making it a truly Reiwa-style Umizaru.
It has such a heavy feel that you can sense the monster's hidden ferocity.

I believe that the two types of Marine Kong monsters are the hallmark of soft vinyl monster figures that have been passed down through the years as we move from Showa to Heisei to Reiwa.
70's Seventies wants to deliver the charm of monster soft vinyl figures with two types, Type A and Type B.

For those who love Kaiju Soft Vinyl, those who are learning about them for the first time, and those who have not seen them in a long time,
I am grateful that I had the opportunity to encounter this opportunity.
